handcrafted fine jewelry

Hi there! I'm Cass.

I’m an independent jeweler based in Bloomington, IN. I moved to Bloomington to get my masters degree in Metalsmithing and Jewelry design - and decided to stick around for a bit as I grow my small fine jewelry business. I started my business halfway through grad school - creating jewelry part time alongside my sculptural work - and since graduating in May of 2026, I’ve been designing + making jewelry full time!

My interest in jewelry began when I was a child, crafting with my grandmother. She taught me how to create simple earrings using beads and wire, which led me to take my first metalsmithing class - where I fell in love with the material. I went on to study metalsmithing in college, and for a while my work was leaning sculptural - anything where I was working with a hammer, I was happy. I focused on hollow forming + forging small sculptures, trying to bring life, and movement to the material.

During a special project in grad school, I had the opportunity to work with gold for the first time. This re-ignited my interest in jewelry - I found the material so beautiful to work with. I found that 14k gold had a strength that would allow delicacy that I wasn't able to achieve in silver with the same level of durability. So slowly, recycling old gold jewelry, I began to work with the material and build up my jewelry portfolio.

Three years later, I am designing + creating jewelry full time. Working on both personal collections + drops, as well as working with clients to create bespoke pieces to mark their special moments in life. I am beyond grateful that I have made it here. So to my friends, family, clients, and the people that I’ve met in my industry along the way that have given me guidance. Thank you, I wouldn't be here doing this without you.
